Tashan wasn’t my film'

Yash Raj’s dismal performance at the BO, read 'Tashan' & 'Aaja Nachle', doesn’t faze Kunal Kohli. For him, all that matters is his next film and the way it performs.

A still from Thoda Pyar, Thoda MagicYash Raj banners next film after the much-hyped but flop Tashan is Kunal Kohlis Thoda Pyar, Thoda Magic.
And the most pertinent question, as of now, is whether Kunals next will be Yash Rajs next hit too or will it fall flat on its face like Tashan? Kunal answers that question himself, Fanaa was my last film.
1x1 polls
In the meantime, I havent cared about anything else. Honestly, I havent been very concerned either.
I didnt make Tashan and its not doing well at the BO shouldnt affect my film or me in any way. Whether it worked or failed as a film isnt a statement on my next! Im busy with my film and am waiting for it to release.
The director who confesses his loves for making love stories has always managed to rope in big names for his films. Whether it was the Rani-Saif jodi in Hum Tum, Kajol-Aamir pairing in Fanaa or Rani-Saif in Thoda... again, his films have never been low on star quotient. Call me lucky, laughs Kunal, adding, In fact, in Thoda... both Rani and Saif are playing characters theyve never played before. Rani plays an angel who cant love and there are four orphans who need a lot of love thats the basic plot.
How does he think his film will do considering Bollywood isnt going great guns this year? The last year wasnt good in the initial phase either. IPL is high on action as of now and no producer would like to risk taking it on.
And what about rumours of Rani and Aditya Chopras link-ups do they affect their work equations? Rani is a pro and so is Adi. We all know better than bringing any rumours or controversies on the sets. Also after Light, camera, action, it is only work that matters and nothing else! he says.
