Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Shweta asks for justice as she visits India; says they will not get closure until they know the truth
Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters have consistently stood by him. Following his untimely demise in 2020, they frequently reminisce about him and advocate for his legacy. Shweta Singh Kirti, his sister based in the US, dedicated a section to Sushant in her new book titled 'Pain: A Portal to Enlightenment.'
In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Shweta, who is presently in India for her book launch, emphasized the importance of understanding what transpired with her beloved brother Sushant. She conveyed the collective need for answers and closure, stating that until the truth is revealed, none of them will find resolution. Shweta stressed the continual call for justice and urged the CBI to conduct a thorough investigation, emphasizing the importance of swift results.
Shweta, accompanied by her elder sister Rani Di, visited the Kanyakumari Temple, a Shiva temple. In addition, she posed outside Sushant’s apartment at Mount Blanc, where many people gathered, chanting for justice.
Not long ago, Shweta took to Instagram to commemorate her brother on his birth anniversary. Sharing a montage, she wrote, “Happy Birthday to My Sona Sa Bhai. Love you forever….infinity to the power infinity. Hope you live in a million hearts and motivate them to do and be good. May your legacy be the millions you have inspired to be God-like and generous. May everyone understand that Godward is the only way forward and make you proud.
In her book, Shweta revealed that despite Sushant's busy Bollywood schedule preventing him from visiting her, she traveled to India every year to meet him from 2014 to 2017. Unfortunately, she couldn't visit in 2018 and 2019. In January 2020, she made a special trip "especially to see him," but they couldn't meet. Just four days before his tragic death on June 14, 2020, she invited him to the US during a phone call.
In her book, Shweta mentioned that her husband told her about Sushant's tragic news on the night of June 13 in the US. It sent a chill down her spine, and despite the shock, she didn't scream or cry. Instead, she relied on her coping mechanisms to navigate through the difficult moment.
