Sunjay Kapur's sister Mandhira Kapur claims Priya Sachdev receives salary of Rs 5 crore every month while his mother gets Rs 12 lakh after deductions

Late business tycoon Sunjay Kapur's unfortunate death on June 12, 2025, set a lot of things in motion, and one of them is the case about who will inherit his massive fortune. The legal tussle involves his kids, Samaira and Kiaan, from ex-wife Karisma Kapoor, and his widow, Priya Sachdev, and their kid, Azarius. Amidst this, a report about Priya's salary amount is doing rounds on the internet.

Priya Sachdev receives a salary of Rs 5 crore

During a conversation with the InControversial podcast, Sunjay Kapur's sister, Mandhira Kapur, went on to reveal the whopping salary of Priya Sachdev. The late businessman's widow had claimed that his mother, Rani Kapur, draws a salary of Rs 21 lakh a month from the company, along with her personal expenses, just as she used to do before Sunjay's demise.




Now, on the podcast, Mandhira reacted to the claims. She said, "When my father was alive, my mother was getting much more than what she did even when my brother was alive, and that’s the truth. It is shameful that she is only getting Rs. 12 lakhs. It was Rs. 21 lakhs, but after tax and other deductions, she used to get Rs. 13 lakhs, which has now dropped to Rs. 12 lakhs."

The sister of the late businessman added, "But the outsider is getting close to, I would think, Rs 3 to 5 crore every month. She is getting Rs 5 crores, and the creator of the company is getting Rs 12 lakhs."

Several months after Sunjay Kapur's death, Karisma Kapoor's children, Samaira and Kiaan, appealed to the Delhi High Court seeking a share in their father's massive fortune. They also accused Priya Sachdev of taking over Sunjay Kapur's assets worth Rs 30000 crore. And since then, the case has become a public discussion.
