Suniel Shetty backs Varun Dhawan amid trolling; Says no one has seen 'Border 2' yet

The song 'Ghar Kab Aaoge' from 'Border 2' was released a few days ago. The song features Varun Dhawan in an emotional setup. Soon after the song came out, Varun became the target of online trolling. Many people on social media started commenting on his expressions in the song. Some users said they did not like his acting. Others questioned whether he suited a serious war film like 'Border 2'.

Suniel Shetty speaks up in support Of Varun Dhawan

Amid all this, Suniel Shetty came forward to support Varun Dhawan. Suniel’s son, Ahan Shetty, is making his debut with 'Border 2'. Suniel spoke about the issue in an interview with Bombay Times.

Suniel said, “Has anybody seen the film? Nobody has seen the film. We’ve only seen glimpses.” He clearly pointed out that people are judging too early. He then praised Varun and said, “Varun Dhawan will kill it in the film, he’s outstanding.”

Suniel made it clear that Varun should not be judged based on one song or a few scenes. He asked people to wait until the full movie comes out.

Suniel Shetty also spoke about the character Varun is playing in 'Border 2'. He said Varun is not playing himself in the film. He said, “Varun is not playing himself; he is playing a decorated officer who has given his life for the country.”

Suniel asked people to think before making harsh comments online. He said, “I think we should think a little before going out there and saying these things.”

Talking about trolling culture, Suniel added, “Today, it’s very easy to trash someone and run them down.” His words clearly showed his disappointment with how easily actors are attacked online without full context.

'Border 2' gears up for release

'Border 2' is set to release in cinemas on January 23. The film has a big cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles. Even before its release, the film has started strong at the box office.
