Stree 2 outfits that Sharddha Kapoor took home as memorabilia!

Shraddha Kapoor is back haunting the streets of Chanderi in Stree 2. As a friendly ghost, in Stree, the actress was seen as a mysterious girl and sported outfits with an ethnic twist. As the story continues, she will be back sporting similar costumes that consisted of beautiful earthy stoles and the quintessential red embroidered jacket she wore in most of the scenes.

In addition to this, the film will feature a song where the actress will be seen in beautiful traditional outfits, giving her a scope to go beyond the costumes she wore in Stree. Talking more about the same, costume designer of the film, Sheetal Sharma tells us, “Shraddha was happy with these outfits. There is a cute purple Ghagra and a pink Anarkali that she wore in the song. She said she would like to keep these as memorabilia. There are also these beautiful bags which she kept. We joked that we would need these for Stree 3 shoot and she can get these straight from her home (laughs).”

Shraddha’s look in the film also comprises of beautiful ethnic accessories which Sheetal got made from shops in Mumbai. “We hired a few silversmiths from the nooks and corners of Mumbai. We also went to those stores in Nagpada and got the neck pieces and earrings made.”



Although, Shraddha will be seen sporting same outfits from the first part of Stree. Sheetal told us that they had to redo all the outfits as things went missing from the godown where they were stored. In an earlier chat with us, he had told us, “The outfits were in a godown and the team wasn’t able to trace it. So, we had to redo all the outfits before the film went on floor. It was a challenge to recreate costumes that were made 5 years ago. We started from the scratch, did reprinting and redyeing of clothes making them look exactly the way they were in Stree.”
