Sonu Sood reveals he refrained Jacqueline Fernandez to use makeup for Fateh

Actor Sonu Sood completes 25 years as an actor in the Hindi film industry. The actor who was present at an event, tells us exclusively about the last 25 years being an actor. He says, “In all these 24-25 years I have spent, I have realized that I have always tried to be a good learner where I can learn the craft in 12 to 13 different languages. Everyday was a learning experience as an actor and every day you grow as a person also.”


Sood’s latest is Fateh, an action thriller that he is also marking his directorial debut with. He further adds, “When I was doing Fateh I tried to put all those 24-25 years of experience in that. I wanted to make a film which everyone should be proud of, something which is not just technically brilliant, (but) people should say that Hindi cinema also makes films that can compete with western cinema where they talk about strong designing, writing, shot taking, action everything. I have tried my level best. Yes, it is my directorial debut, but I have given my best and 100%. I have lived with this film for the last 2 and ½ years. Fateh is going to be very special.”

Fateh also stars Jacqueline Fernandez. Talking about shooting with Jacqueline, Sood adds, “Jacqueline is one of the finest human beings I have come across. Working with her was phenomenal. She is so good in Fateh. One day I remember while speaking to her she mentioned that she has done around 25-26 films. For the movie, I asked her not to put any make up, or do any hair. I wanted to make her look very real and that’s what her character in Fateh is. She was very easy to work with and she was always on her toes. No tension. She felt that Fateh was her film, so she gave her 100% on screen.”


Apart from his movies, Sood continues with his social work. The actor recently attended the Phoenix Shopping Festival's - Shop with A Purpose campaign, wherein he spent time with 20 kids. “Sood Charity Foundation has been trying to change the lives of loads of kids in terms of education, health, and giving jobs. Every single day we try to reach out to the places we know no one can reach. Along with this initiative we are trying to do our bit,” he signs off.
