Sonu admires Ang Lee

Ang Lee who was here to cast for The Life of Pi auditioned Bollywood actor Sonu Sood for the part of the lead actor's father.
However, even after he put the Dabangg villain through several look tests including the aged make-up he found Sonu still looking a bit too young, say sources. Sonu is apparently sad that he missed out on an opportunity to work with Ang Lee. However, the Bollywood villain is taking pride in the fact that though he missed getting the coveted part in The Life of Pi, the Hollywood film-maker had seen all his important films before he called him for the audition.
Sonu says, ``Ang Lee is an incredible film-maker and a great man to bond with. He had actually seen Jodhaa Akbar, Singh is Kingg Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi and even some of my lesser known films before he called me for the screen test. He congratulated me for my previous work and said that if things didn't work out it is only because I look too young for the part.'' Of course Sonu is now awaiting another Hollywood call, but isn't revealing the details as yet.
