He will be soon seen in a very interesting and never attempted before role in Hollywood film, Hidden.
He also had a make over done for the movie to look different. The cast includes Christopher Atkins (Blue Lagoon fame) in the main lead with the Malaysian beauty and Miss Malaysia Ira Fazira. Hidden is set to release around December 2007. All excited about the role, Shahwar says, I am playing the role of a psychopath grave digger. My character is that of a cleptomaniac, and I’d be stealing jewellery for fun. It’s a very different role for me. While speaking to the director of the film Samit Baadkar, who has many ad films and movies to his credit, on why he chose an Indian face, he says, When I was reading the script, and the story had this grave digger’s character persona, I could only think of Shahwar who would have done justice to this role. So does that mean Shahwar will be seen only in movies and not on the ramp? Modelling has always been and will be my first love. Movies are something which I will look forward to if I get some good and meaningful roles, like the one in Hidden, says Shahwar. When asked Shahwar about his dream role, he said he wants to play his role model Antonio Banderas’ character in the movie Desperado. If a movie like that is made in India, Shahwar would be only too thrilled to get cast in it. Are the Indian directors listening?
