Shah Rukh Khan’s character in ‘Jailer 2’ revealed; Badshah of Bollywood to play a friend to Rajinikanth- Report

Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly joining ‘Jailer 2’, sparking huge excitement among fans. Fresh reports reveal that the superstar will play an important role in the Rajinikanth-led sequel, appearing as his close friend in the film. The movie is also said to feature several other celebrity cameos, making it one of the most anticipated releases ahead.Recently, Mithun Chakraborty confirmed that Shah Rukh will have a special appearance in the film. According to Hindustan Times, Khan plays the role of Rajinikanth’s close friend and confidante, whom he trusts with his life. Adding to the buzz around the sequel, Vijay Sethupathi has officially confirmed his part in ‘Jailer 2’. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor shared that he will be seen in a cameo role. He mentioned that he took up the role out of deep respect and admiration for Rajinikanth, describing it as an experience motivated by affection and the desire to learn from the superstar rather than by professional duty.Nelson Dilipkumar returns to the director’s chair for ‘Jailer 2’, an action-comedy that follows the massive success of the 2023 hit ‘Jailer’. The sequel features Rajinikanth once again in the lead, with several big names, including Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Vidya Balan, and Mithun Chakraborty, expected to make special appearances.After completing ‘Jailer 2’, Rajinikanth will begin work on his next film, tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 173’. The project will be directed by Cibi Chakravarthy, known for ‘Don’, and co-produced by Kamal Haasan under the Raaj Kamal Films International banner. Music for the film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The movie was initially announced with Sundar C as the director, marking a possible reunion, but he later stepped away due to prior commitments. Later, several filmmakers, including Ashwath Marimuthu, Nithilan Saminathan, and Ramkumar Balakrishnan, were said to have pitched their scripts to Rajinikanth.
