Shaakuntalam is an important film for Samantha

2022 was not a friendly year for Samantha Ruth Prabhu. But she is determined to make 2023 her own. Starting with the mythological-romance Shaakuntalam which releases on February 17, Samantha is fully back into action.
Says a source close to Samantha, “By the grace of God, Sam has recovered fully now. She is back to work. She will first promote Shaakuntalam. She was not able to do that with her last release Yashoda due to her health.Shaakuntalam is very important for Sam. Not only will it shut all the talk of her career being affected by her illness, it is also her career’s first costume drama. After she finishes the promotions of Shaakuntalam, Sam will complete Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda. Then she goes into Raj and DK’s series for Amazon Citadel with Varun Dhawan.”
We hope and pray Samantha has beaten the dark phase in her life and will claim 2023 as her own.
