In an interview with the India Today, Saurabh Shukla was asked to share his opinion about AR Rahman's recent remark. He shared, "I heard that there are three kinds of talks. One is that you talk about people. One is that you talk about events. And one is that you talk about ideas. And there is a hierarchy in these conversations." The veteran actor added, "I think I will go for the third one. Let's talk about ideas and not about people."

During an interview with the BBC Asian Network, music maestro AR Rahman shared his thoughts about the Hindi film industry. During the conversation, the music composer expressed that he has been doing less work in the Hindi industry, adding that it may be due to "communal" reasons. He said, "People who are not creative have the power now to decide things, and this might have been a communal thing also, but not in my face."
