Sara Ali Khan stepped out for the trailer launch of her upcoming movie ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ in Mumbai, but things got awkward fast. She seemed clearly uneasy as the host started joking about recognizing every actor "from behind," leaving Sara visibly stunned and uncomfortable.
Sara Ali Khan in viral video
On Saturday, Sara Ali Khan joined Ayushmann, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi for the trailer launch of their film. Clips from the event are now going viral on social media. One video shows Sara sitting next to Rakul and Ayushmann, perfectly capturing her response to the host's cheeky jokes. “Aap log woh wali reel dalte ho na ke kissi celebrity ka backshot dalke ke pehchano kaun… Jhooth nahi keh raha main sab celebrities ko peeche se janta hun… Maine itna time bitaya hai uss cheez mein. Aage se pehchan paun ya nahi (You know those reels you post where you show a celebrity’s back and ask people to guess who it is? I’m not lying I can recognise all celebrities from behind. I’ve spent so much time on that),” the announcer heard saying on stage.
Sara Ali Khan's reaction
Right then, Sara starts looking noticeably uneasy, sharing a swift look with her co-stars nearby. She even whispers to Ayushmann, “Yeh kya bol raha hai (what is he saying)” to Ayushmann.
Netizen’s backlash online
The clip sparked instant backlash online, as netizens roasted the joke left and right. One user fumed, “Wow and they are sitting and laughing. Instead of asking him to stop this.” Another slammed, “The guts.” A comment pointed out, “Funny nhi besharmi kehte h ise (It’s called shamelessness, not funny).” Someone else vented, “These so call standup comedians normalize all these things.”
