On Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 63rd birthday, there were rumours of him suffering a heart attack. Multiple posts claimed that he had been rushed to a hospital in Mumbai following a sudden medical emergency, sparking anxiety among fans and members of the film fraternity. As the rumours gained momentum, many took to the internet seeking confirmation about his condition.

Despite the frenzy online, no hospital statement or authenticated medical update surfaced to substantiate the claims. Shortly thereafter, Bhansali’s team stepped in with an official clarification, categorically dismissing the reports as unfounded. They reassured well-wishers that the director is in good health and had not experienced any cardiac episode. They clarified that these rumours are are entirely false.






The statement issued by his family, shared by his team, read, "Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali is doing absolutely fine. He has gone in for a routine medical check-up and there is no cause of concern. We sincerely appreciate the love, care and concern shown by everyone. Thank you for your continued support and warm wishes."

To clarify, Sanjay Leela Bhansali did not suffer a heart attack. The viral claims spreading across platforms are inaccurate. There is no confirmed report of any cardiac arrest or hospitalisation involving the filmmaker.

The misinformation appears to have originated from unverified social media accounts before being amplified by various online pages without proper fact-checking. Subsequent verification found no credible medical documentation or official confirmation supporting the narrative.
