Salim Khan hospitalization: Arbaaz Khan, Atul Agnihotri arrive ahead of doctors’ press briefing on veteran star's health update
Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan remains under medical supervision in the Intensive Care Unit at the Lilavati Hospital, in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday morning, sparking a wave of concern from fans and members of the film industry. Through the course of the day, the veteran star had his sons, family members, and friends from the film industry arriving at the hospital to check on him.
Sons Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan, were seen leaving the hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning. ETimes paparazzi spotted Arbaaz arriving at the hospital again early this morning with brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. They were seen arriving in time with Dr Jalil Parkar, who was also seen arriving at the hospital, where his team has been keeping a close observation on the veteran star.
In a statement issued by Dr Parkar on Tuesday night, it was confirmed that Khan was admitted in the ICU at 8.30 am on Tuesday morning. "He was brought into the emergency by their family doctor, prompting emergency care. Salim Khan was later shifted to the intensive care,” the statement read.
Providing an update on his health condition, the hospital added, “He is stable but is under close observation in regards to his clinical status.”
A team of specialists, including neurologist Dr Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange and Dr Bineet Ahluwalia, have reportedly been attending to the veteran writer.
Dr Parkar further stated that doctors would hold a press bulletin on Wednesday at 11 am with “due consent of the relatives and maintaining the confidentiality of the patient to the utmost.”
