RGV's latest innovation

That’s the filmmaker’s mantra for new film
RGV's latest innovation
Ram Gopal Varma is in a mood to be innovative. His upcoming film Rakta Charitra will be the first in Indian cinema to release in two parts.
Both films, each around two hours duration, will release within a span of three to four weeks in October. Considering it’s not one film but two, one would expect Ramu to feel twice the pressure and what if the first film doesn’t do well at the box office? But Ramu seems confident.
1x1 polls
“I don’t feel the pressure. I’ve been in the business long enough now,” he told BT. Ramu’s film is based on events in the life of slain leader Paritala Ravi played by Vivek Oberoi and Maddelacheruvu Suri by South actor Surya. Shatrughan Sinha, incidentally, enacts the role of N T Rama Rao.
This film apart, Ramu’s looking to do different things in the future. He’s planning to make a 3-D adventure film, something he’s never attempted before. “If you have exotic locations, which is what an adventure genre calls for, 3-D adds a lot of effect to the film, transporting you literally to the spot.” Ask him whether he’s inspired by the recent slew of 3-D Hollywood films and he laughs saying, “Eventually we will get ideas from there! But, as a director I’m looking to try out newer things. Besides today we’ve got newer technology compared to earlier, so why not?”
