It is no secret that Ranveer Singh is a huge sports buff. The actor, earlier this year, was signed on as the brand ambassador of a leading sports channel as well. Recently, Ranveer took to his Twitter handle to share his joy of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) storming into the finals of the IPL, by defeating Gujarat Titans by 15 runs.
Hailing 'Thala', (nickname for CSK captain MS Dhoni) Ranveer wrote, "THALA SUPREMACY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lion roars at the Chepauk !!!!!!!!!!! #MSDhoni #CSKvsGT (sic)." Many other celebs, mostly from the South, shared their excitement over the big win, and even shared pictures from the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, where the match was held.
Coming back to Ranveer, over the last few days, news of Shah Rukh Khan’s exit from Don 3 has gripped the entertainment space. While neither Khan nor the production house (Excel Entertainment) have made any official announcements yet, reports of the two parting ways on the 3rd instalment have been doing the rounds. Sources who confirmed the news to a portal claimed that after SRK’s exit, Farhan Akhtar is keen on making a reboot with a younger actor in the lead.
News has now surfaced that Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play the lead. We hear Ranveer’s ability to draw in the audience and transform onscreen made the cut for the makers. The actor has formerly worked with Excel on Dil Dhadakne Do and Gully Boy, both tuned out to be massive hits.
Farhan Akhtar is slated to direct the much awaited road movie Jee Le Zaraa starring Priyanka Chopra,
Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt this year. The actor last directed Don 2 in 2011 and will direct Don 3 as well, which is still at a relatively early stage.
