In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rani Mukerji shared that her daughter, Adira, has become a "double digit now." The actress called this milestone "beautiful." She further shared that it is not a happy feeling for her as she would still go back to her baby photos "to the extent that she started feeling jealous of her own self."

Rani Mukerji added, "She’s like, ‘Mumma, why are you watching me like this? I am like this now (pointing at herself).’ I am like, ‘I understand you are like this now, but I want this; I want you in my lap.’ And now, she’s bigger than me; I can be on her lap."
The actress added that she misses the days of carrying her daughter everywhere. She stated that Adira was her "favorite accessory." Rani stated that things have changed now.
In the same interview, Rani Mukerji was asked if she shares a friendly bond with her daughter. The actress quickly replied, "Of course! She’s my best friend, really.
And I’m constantly like seeding that thought into her, that I’m her best friend."

The 'Mardaani' actress said, "It’s very fulfilling. I’m dying to be there on Sports Day and run along with the children. I’m the most enthu (enthusiastic) mother."
