Rakul Preet Singh reveals she wasn't in the right mindset for a relationship before meeting Jackky Bhagnani: 'I have rejected a person because he ordered fried gyozas'
Rakul Preet Singh has an interesting connection with food, which she considers important for compatibility in a relationship. She shared how she and her husband, Jackky Bhagnani, bond over protein bars. Rakul also recalled turning down a potential partner in the past because they ordered a fried dish.
In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Rakul revealed that she wasn't in the right mindset for a relationship before meeting Jackky Bhagnani. She also shared a story about rejecting a potential partner after he ordered fried food, highlighting her preferences and said, "I didn’t want a frivolous man, or someone who shows off. These are still big things, I didn’t even want anybody who would order fried food. I have rejected a person because he ordered fried gyozas.”
“People have their own food choices, but it got worse when he looked down upon the food I ordered. He was like, ‘What are you eating, what is healthy?’ And that’s where I was like, ‘Out’. If we can’t share a meal and a lifestyle, it’s pointless. I have seen friends fighting over Indian and Chinese food, she stated."
She further added about her relationship with Jackky Bhagnani, “There is this protein bar that Jackky and I love. For us, sharing that protein bar is fun. It’s like our dessert. It’s our joy. I come back from a shoot, he returns from his office, and we’re like, ‘Adha adha protein bar khaye kya?’ These are small joys in life that money, fame and success can’t buy.”
Adding further, she revealed that she followed a vegan diet for a year, during which she developed the habit of speaking to her food before eating it. She shared this unique experience, saying, “I was vegan for a year. There was a point in time where I was trying to heal something. My blood work was a little unusual. I had gone vegan to do self-healing. I was talking to my food before eating it. I healed in six months. Then I went back to being a non-vegetarian.”
On the work front, Rakul will next appear in 'De De Pyaar De 2,' starring alongside Ajay Devgn. She was last seen in the S Shankar directorial Indian 2 alongside Kamal Haasan.
