The hotly-anticipated global affair Met Gala returned this September after a hiatus due to the pandemic last year. With a bundle of renowned personalities from the field of fashion, entertainment and culture, the Metropolitan Museum witnessed a star studded affair who stepped their foot on the red carpet with their finest attires. While the event is mostly dominated by the Western and the Hollywood industry, several Indian celebrities have also marked their attendance at the show with much elegance and pride. Priyanka Chopra has made three noteworthy appearances at the grandest exhibition of art and fashion. And every single time, the actress has managed to amp up her glam quotient, giving fashion lovers and critics a look etched for a lifetime. It was 2017, when the global icon walked the red carpet in a thigh-thigh slit gown with a popped collar, which came with a never ending trail that became a highlight of her look. Her last appearance at the Met gala was in 2019, when she once again walked the red carpet with husband Nick Jonas. The duo made a striking appearance together.

Joining the star studded affair of 2021, was Sudha Reddy - a Hyderabad-based billionaire philanthropist and wife of billionaire Megha Krishna Reddy. Sudha was the only Indian and a non-film luminary to be invited for the event. Considered among the well-heeled jetsetters of South India, Sudha is also an avid expert of art and fashion. The lady owned the red carpet in a free flowing shimmery gown which came with a four-metre-long train, incorporating the colours of the American flag.

Like Priyanka, Deepika Padukone has made three notable appearances at the event. The actress marked her debut at the Met Gala in 2017. Speaking about her sartorial choice, the actress mostly opted for simple, yet significant styles for the carpet. Her last appearance was in 2019, where she decked up in a Voluminous metallic pink gown resembling a Barbie Doll or a princess.

Wife of billionaire Adar Poonawalla, Natasha debuted at the Met Gala in 2018. She walked the red carpet in a blush pink flowy gown with a wine colour ribbon detaining around her bust and waist. She returned to stun everyone with her appearance at the 2019 Met Gala. The philanthropist was decked in a crystal embellished mini dress which came with a detachable icy-blue skirt.

Being a supporter of aesthetics, culture and fine arts, Isha Ambani’s attendance at the event came as no surprise. Back in 2017, the actress made her big debut in a blissful nude dress styled beautifully with minimal hair and make up. The businesswoman was last seen during the 2019 event, in a lavender couture gown featuring embroidered feathers and bead work.
