New York boy Prashantt Guptha is working his way up in Bollywood. The green horn who started with theatre and modelling, has bagged prominent parts in films like Issaq and Identity Card. Last seen in the remake of the Kannada hit 6-5=2, he’s currently on a streak of breakthroughs. The actor is on a high, having wrapped up his next film, 19th January with veteran performers like
Deepti Naval and KK Raina.
“
It’s titled after a January 19 event during the genocide/exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990. I play a present day officer investigating an incident that happened 25 years ago,” says he.
Further Prashantt has been chosen as the Indian Ambassador for Festival Of The Globe — Silicon Valley, that takes place in San Francisco from August 7 to 16. Also, due to his Rajasthani roots, he has become the face of designer Rohit Verma’s Royal Indian Collection, to be launched internationally soon.

So, when they offered me the ambassadorship I was thrilled.” He adds, “It’s great that films, festival and fashion are not only inter-connected for me, but also happening in quick succession.”
