More about the Rs 40 lakh fraud case
Reportedly, a complaint has been registered against Palash Muchhal with the Sangli Superintendent of Police. The complainant, Vidnyan Mane, accused the musician of Rs 40 lakh financial fraud.
According to the complainant, he met Palash through Smriti Mandhana's father. On their first meeting on December 5, 2025, as per Vidnyan, Palash asked him if he could invest in his upcoming film 'Nazariya'. Reportedly, the singer assured the complainant of a Rs 12 lakh profit on an investment of Rs 25 lakhs once the movie premieres on streaming platforms. As per the report, Palash even offered Vidnyan a role in the film as part of the deal.
Vidnyan stated that he went on to invest Rs 40 lakhs total in the project. He complained that despite waiting for a longer time than the scheduled period, the movie was not completed. He claimed that he got no payment from Palash or any satisfactory reply for the same.
As per the report, the musician blocked Vidnyan's number, which resulted in the latter filing an official police complaint. The matter is now under investigation.
