A promising actor whose journey took an unexpected turn

Savi Sidhu was a prominent Bollywood actor back in the day. He had acted in several notable films like 'Patiala House', 'Black Friday', 'Gulaal', and 'Paanch', with actors like Akshay Kumar, Late Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon, and Manoj Bajpayee. His astounding performances and screen presence got him attention early in his career, but the industry still began to be unpredictable for him. Slowly the work began to dry up, and his progress in the industry began to die down.

A career that slowly slipped away

Once Savi Sidhu's work began to dry up, he began to struggle for stability. The competitive film industry had laid the groundwork, but he was not ever able to get work consistently. He had participated in many great films with accolades, but had still experienced such long periods of unemployment concerning great film work. The unpredictability was taxing, including on his health and financial stability. To what had been a dream career path had now become a difficult struggle for survival.

Personal tragedies that shattered his world

According to India.com, Savi's life became extremely painful after the loss of his beloved wife, which left him in an extremely emotional place. Shortly thereafter, the deaths of his in-laws added to his emotional trauma. These consecutive losses broke him into a million pieces, with no one to help him cope with the grief. The loss of family and stability in his career led to major depression.

Forced to take up a watchman’s job to survive

With no family support and no guaranteed regular paycheck, Savi Sidhu got to point where the only job available to him was that of a watchman in a housing complex in Mumbai. This was a tragic drop off from his former life in the film industry. The actor who had been part of films overfilled with incredible content was now doing long shifts in order to buy groceries. He emphasized how many performing artists get caught up in the glamour of Bollywood while they're simply trying to get by.

A struggle to rebuild and a hope for new beginnings

Despite a lot of stressful events happening in his life, Savi Sidhu absolutely refused to quit. In 2021, there was a lot of buzz about him again when a whole range of actors, filmmakers and fans started to come out in support of him. Incredible amount of people in the industry admired his gumption of carrying on, and offered support when he would ultimately pursue plans again for on screen opportunity. He's still got a long way to go, but he's totally committed to getting this acting career back on track. It's about determination, resilience, and the craziness that is show business.
