Nikkhil Advani reveals Shah Rukh Khan initially thought Kal Ho Naa Ho was 'rubbish' but called Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas 'fantastic'

In the 1990s, juggling multiple blockbuster hits was the norm for superstars, and Shah Rukh Khan was no exception. In a recent interview, Kal Ho Naa Ho director Nikkhil Advani revealed a fascinating tidbit about Khan's approach: he would often criticize one film while lauding another.

For instance, Shah Rukh once dismissed Kal Ho Naa Ho as "rubbish" while hailing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas as "fantastic." This intriguing habit of balancing critiques and compliments sheds light on Khan's unique perspective during his prolific career.



In a conversation with Galatta Plus, Nikkhil Advani revealed an interesting habit of Shah Rukh Khan. During the filming of Mohabbatein or possibly Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Shah Rukh was also working on Hey Ram. He would often attend meetings and humorously criticize the film he was working on with his current team, while praising the other project.




For example, during Kal Ho Naa Ho, Shah Rukh referred to Devdas as fantastic and his own film as rubbish, showcasing his unique way of balancing his critiques and compliments.
