Vaastav

One of Mahesh Manjrekar’s finest crime-drama ‘Vaastav’, had a noteworthy devotional soundtrack, ‘Sindhoor Lal’ starring Sanjay Dutt. Created by Ravindra Sathe, the song marked the failure of the criminal gang in ‘Vaastav’.

Mumbai Saga

While Sanjay Gupta’s story telling dwells in the world of cops and gangsters, his films often boast of impactful devotional songs. Composed by Payal Dev, the song ‘Danka Baja’ is a song celebrating the spirit and valour of Ganpati Bappa. The song boasted of a stellar cast of Kajal Aggarwal, John Abraham, Rohit Roy, Prateik Babbar and Emraan Hashmi.

ABCD 2

Remo D’ Souza’s ‘ABCD 2’ had one of the impactful Ganpati songs ‘Hey Ganaraya’ with a mesmerizing and emotional dance number . The song feature Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor along with a stellar cast of choreographers and dancers who performed with much finesse and perfection.

Aasoo Bane Angaarey

The 1993 Bollywood drama featured a devotional song ‘Agle Baras Tu Jaldi Aa’, which has, with time, has become synonymous with the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi to bring in the right sense of faith. The track featured Madhuri Dixit, who had given an impactful performance with her graceful dancing and expressions.

Agneepath

Apart from Hrithik Roshan’s daunting and fine performance as Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, his mesmerizing dance moves for the iconic dance number ‘Deva Shree Ganesha’ created an impact. It was also one of the major highlights of the film. Directed by Karan Malhotra, Agneepath is the remake of the 1990 classic which also goes by the same name.

Wanted

Helmed by Prabhu Deva, the action-thriller featured one of the most unconventional yet effective devotional numbers of all time ‘ Jalwa’. Composed by Sajid-Wajid, the song created quite a buzz amongst movie buffs, which starred Salman Khan’s grooving to the beats with perfection.
