‘Mr Bachchan was iconic’

You do a cameo in Ekta Kapoor���s C Kkompany. Are you her lucky mascot?
I don���t know about being lucky for her, but Ekta and I have always had a great equation. She has been a dear friend and our families are very close. There���s a great deal of mutual respect, love and affection. So if Ekta tells me that she wants me to do a scene in her film, there are no questions asked, I simply report to the venue on the desired date at the desired time.
You both have a lot of things in common ��� both are a number 7, believe much in the ���K���, and Suneeta Menon, too...
Suneeta tells me that we have similar charts, and a lot of people who know us both, find that we are similar in many ways. I often joke with Ekta that we are karmically connected.
There���ve been talks of the Karan-Ekta romance and even marriage...
I was just joking with Ekta that if neither of us finds anyone, we���ll get married to each other. The humour escalated into something else. On a more serious note, however, marriage isn���t on the cards.
You play the host of a game show in C Kkompany. How much of an SRK have you done?
n I���ve simply played myself. Since the name of the show in the film is Karan Banaye Crorepati I could do it all my way and didn���t need to emulate anyone else.
Amitabh, Salman, Akshay, SRK have all been a part of game shows. Which actor makes the best host?
They all have their respective charming personalities. Mr Bachchan was iconic, Shah Rukh did a wonderful job of catering to a younger audience, Salman has been super-entertaining, and Akshay was fantastic.
Your take on the Salman-SRK war? Does it become difficult for a common friend like you?
I wouldn���t wish to comment on this!
Any plans of hosting shows in the near future?
n No, the focus right now is on cinema.
