Manoj Bajpayee thinks THIS film of his is the most under-rated: 'The exhibitors didn't give many shows' - Exclusive

Manoj Bajpayee has been a part of the most unique subjects and is considered one of the best actors in Hindi cinema today. Slowly and steadily, he's made his way up and now enjoys a position where he can choose the kind of stories he wants to be a part of. He's also never shied away from taking up the most challenging parts and risky subjects which may or may not be accepted.

Recently, during a conversation with ETimes, Manoj was asked about his most under-rated movie. The actor said, "Gali Guleiyan. It was one of my most difficult movies and my best performance. I call it under-rated in the sense that it came in theatres and the exhibitors just chose not to give it many shows and then it had to go. So, it was sad."

Earlier, Bajpayee had expressed on social media when the film released on OTT that he was on the verge of losing his mental stability when he was preparing for 'Gali Guleiyan'. He wrote, "OUT NOW. I was on the verge of losing my mental stability while preparing for this role, so much so that I had to stop shooting. "Gali Guleiyan", one of the most challenging and rewarding roles I have ever played, is FINALLY! Out on AMAZON PRIME. The film has travelled the world through national and international film festivals and won many accolades. However, I wanted the film made available to the audience of my country, but getting this done has been a fight, and it has finally come to fruition. I can't tell you how thrilled and excited I am to share this with all of you, and I hope you will also love this film."


At the moment, Manoj is promoting his film 'Joram' which is releasing in theatres on December 8.
