Love Nation, Gadar 2: Upcoming films in August 2023

Cinema lovers were thoroughly spoiled for choice in July this year with the release of such exciting and acclaimed films like Oppenheimer, Barbie, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Bawaal, Indiana Jones and more. However, despair not, cinephiles are in for a treat again in August this year!

Meg 2, The Trench

This film by Warner Bros has Jason Statham playing the lead role as the head of a research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest oceans. The film releases in the first week of August and should ideally be watched in a 3D theatre. It’s got action and prehistoric-looking creatures that seem to belong to an old, forgotten ecosystem.

3/6

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Old fans of the cute Turtle brothers should definitely watch this film to see Splinter back in action along with Bebop and Rafael. The film brings the Turtles into the heart of New York where they strive to be accepted as normal teens. They take on a dreaded crime syndicate with the help of their new friend, April O Neil. This new computer-animated superhero film is directed by Jeff Rowe.

Love Nation

Here’s your chance to watch Dharmendra once again on the big screen. This journey of love and unity coupled with hope will warm your hearts. Dharmendra is supported by Govind Namdeo, Milind Gunaji, and Deepak Parasher in this patriotic thriller where Dharmendra plays himself. It will be released on August 4.

Gadar 2

If Dharmendra is bagging screen space on August 4, a week later, you will be able to see Sunny Deol in a sequel of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The actor, together with Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma will reprise their roles and take Sunny Deol as Tara Singh back into Pakistan to try and save his son who has been imprisoned by the Pakistanis.

OMG 2

The film stars Akshay Kumar together with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam and is set for an August 11 release, the same date as Gadar 2. However, according to latest reports, the Central Board of Film Certification has suggested an A certificate for the film and the makers have now indicated that they will change the release date.
