Kubbra Sait has officially confirmed that she will be back for ‘Farzi’ Season 2, while also reflecting on how ‘Sacred Games’ became a defining chapter in her career. Known for her distinctive screen presence and unconventional roles, Kubbra has steadily carved a space for herself across films and streaming platforms. In a recent interaction, she opened up about navigating expectations in an evolving industry and why she believes in consistency.
Talking about her association with ‘Farzi’, Kubbra revealed that joining the project required no second thoughts. “All I can say is, I signed season one and season two, so you have to watch this, kids, I swear. They told me they were writing this character for season two. I said, ‘Done.’ They said, ‘You have to do season one first.’ I said, ‘Done.’ That was it,” she shared with India Today.

Sait further added, “I’m very, very proud of the way the show has turned out, and I’m super excited for season two. I’m just glad I didn’t get killed off. I killed people, but I survived.” Kubbra spoke about whether the industry perceives her differently now. “I think it takes time to understand people. When ‘Sacred Games’ came out, it wasn't like I was new to the media.
I was always trying my best,” she explained, indicating that recognition doesn’t happen overnight.
Kubbra Sait's early struggles
Recalling her initial years, she mentioned working on ‘Ready’ and navigating the industry without much awareness of publicity. “I’m not kidding you, when I did ‘Ready’, I didn’t even know what PR stood for. I literally got people outside a restaurant to interview me because I was so clear that I wanted people to know me,” she said.
The release of ‘Sacred Games’ brought an unexpected shift in her visibility. “Then one day, ‘Sacred Games’ was released, and suddenly people were asking, questioning, and reporting things about me that I didn’t even know existed on the internet, and this was before AI,” she noted.
Calling it a major shift, she added, “That was a turning point, 100 percent. But I’ve just been going with the flow. I never wanted to be a one-hit wonder. I’ve always believed in consistency.”
Kubbra Sait's take on ‘Sacred Games’
According to Kubbra, ‘Sacred Games’ played a key role in shaping her artistic journey. “What ‘Sacred Games’ did for me was build a curiosity for acting and a consistency in my craft. Since then, I’ve just been learning and doing my best. I think I’m evolving as an actor,” she said.
Sait further reflected, “My journey towards acting is about eight years old. Give me two more years, and I think I’ll be thriving. I don’t want to compete with others… I’d rather look at my own milestones.”
Sharing her outlook, Kubbra emphasised self-fulfilment over comparison. “I want my cup to be full on its own. I want to operate from that space and be honest with my journey, rather than feel like I have something to prove to someone else,” she said. She continued, “Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. You follow that path and discover so many things about yourself. That’s what this journey has been about.”
Summing up her perspective, she concluded, “For me, it’s always been about saying, ‘This is who I am, I’m figuring it out, what do you think?’ It’s always been storytelling and conversation. And I truly feel that’s a privilege. I don’t take it lightly.”
Kubbra Sait was seen in 'Son of Sardaar 2' alongside Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and
Neeru Bajwa.
