Khushboo Patani was ‘misrepresented’: Disha Patani’s father DEFENDS daughter's remarks after attack on Bareilly home
Disha Patani’s family is facing tense times after gunshots were fired outside their Civil Lines home in Bareilly. The incident, which took place early Friday morning, has been linked to the controversy surrounding the actor’s elder sister, Khushboo Patani.
Now their father, retired CO Jagdish Patani, has broken his silence to defend Khushboo, insisting that her remarks were wrongly connected to a spiritual leader and taken out of context.
Defending his elder daughter, Jagdish Patani has now opened up. He made it clear that her comments were linked only to the controversy around Aniruddhacharya and were not aimed at any other religious figure.
He told ANI, "Khushboo (sister of actor Disha Patani) was misrepresented. Her name was dragged into the matter of Premanand Ji Maharaj. We are Sanatanis, and we respect the sadhus and saints. If someone is misrepresenting her statement, it is a conspiracy to demean us."
After being heavily trolled, Khushboo had also turned to Instagram to clarify her side. She stressed that her words had been taken out of context and circulated in a misleading way, wrongly suggesting they were directed at Premanand Ji Maharaj.
He also revealed that five police teams had been formed to investigate. "We will take strict action against the accused. I personally met with the family and have assured them of their safety," he added.
