Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan after a three-month-long battle in Kargil, Ladakh, on July 26, 1999. I was a teenager then, and as a daughter, I carry his legacy in pieces, but each one carries immense weight.
