Kangana Ranaut reviews Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, praises Aditya Dhar as film crosses Rs 500 crore, 'Khoob kambal kutayi karo in Pakistani terrorists ki'

Kangana Ranaut has showered praise on Aditya Dhar’s directorial Dhurandhar, calling it a “masterpiece” and applauding the filmmaker’s intent and craft. Sharing the film’s trailer on Instagram, Kangana revealed she thoroughly enjoyed the high-octane political thriller.

“I watched #dhurandhar and had a great time (claps). Totally inspired by the art and craft of this masterpiece but honest huge admiration for the intent of the filmmaker,” she wrote.




Taking her praise a step further, Kangana added, “Dear Aaditya Dhar ji border pe hamare defence forces, sarkar mein hamare Modi ji aur Bollywood cinema mein aap, khoob kambal kutayi karo in pakistani terrorists ki, maza aa gaya, whistled and clapped all the way!!”

Calling the filmmaker the true driving force behind the film, she concluded, “Superb work by everyone lekin Dhurandhar of this show is the filmmaker himself @adityadharfilms. Congratulations Yami Gautam.”

Dhurandhar storms past Rs 500 crore mark

Kangana’s glowing review comes at a time when Dhurandhar is enjoying a dream run at the box office. The makers announced on Saturday that the film has crossed Rs 500 crore nett in domestic collections, with the total standing at Rs 503.20 crore.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role and features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi. Dhurandhar was released theatrically on December 5.

Set against the backdrop of covert intelligence operations, Dhurandhar weaves its narrative around major geopolitical and terror-related events such as the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, blending real incidents with cinematic storytelling.

Industry voices echo praise

Before Kangana’s endorsement, several filmmakers from the industry had already lauded the film. Directors Ram Gopal Varma, Karan Johar and Siddharth Anand have also publicly praised Dhurandhar, commending its scale, performances and gripping narrative.



With critical acclaim, strong word-of-mouth and record-breaking numbers, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues to cement its position as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
