Is Aamir Khan's old building Marina Apartments going for redevelopment?- Exclusive

Hot buzz in industry circles is that the Marina Apartments that housed Aamir Khan is likely to be redeveloped. The structure is pretty old and needs to be redone. We are unaware of the collaboration and not clear how tall the old structure that is going down is. The plans to go for a redevelopment were put into effect 5 years ago but nothing concrete materialised. It is also clear that Aamir would get a big property at the end of the making.


A source says, "The redevelopment of Marina Apartments was long overdue. The date of starting work is not yet finalised, but a decision in this regard has more or less been taken."

Aamir has been scouting for properties especially in Mumbai's Khar and Bandra areas, even otherwise. Adds the source, "Aamir will be very happy to have more space to himself in the redeveloped Marina Apartments."


Marina Apartments is situated near JB Petit High School in Bandra. A few metres away is John Abraham's office. This building is very precious to Aamir as he lived here for most of his early career which shot him to fame. The rest, as they say, is history.
