Indian Panorama 2023 announces official selection for 54th IFFI; The Vaccine War, The Kerala Story, Kantara, Gulmohar make it to the list

The 54th IFFI will showcase 25 feature films and 20 non-feature films selected by Indian Panorama. The selection process is based on cinematic, thematic, and aesthetic excellence. The feature film jury, headed by TS Nagabharana, will watch the 25 selected films. Notable films on the list include Vivek Agnihotri's "The Vaccine War," Sudipto Sen's "The Kerala Story," and Manoj Bajpayee's "Gulmohar" and "Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai." Hindi films dominate the Indian Panorama section, followed by Malayalam, Tamil, and Bengali films.

Indian Panorama announced the selection of 25 feature films and 20 non-feature films for the 54th IFFI. The selected films will be showcased at the festival to be held from November 20 to November 28 in Goa.The Indian Panorama organised by the National Film Development Corporation, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, selects the feature and non-feature films of cinematic, thematic and aesthetic excellence according to the regulations of Indian Panorama. The selection is done by eminent personalities from the world of cinema from across India. The 12 member feature film jury of Indian Panorama headed by TS Nagabharana will watch 25 films selected for the section.Vivek Agnihotri's film The Vaccine War and Sudipto Sen's The Kerala Story have been selected. The mainstream cinema section has two films of Manoj Bajpayee, viz. Gulmohar and Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai. Rishabh Shetty's box office hit Kantara and Tovino Thomas' 2018 that were nominated for the Oscars also feature on the list. Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: II will also be a part of the list.The Indian Panorama section is dominated by Hindi films followed by Malayalam, Tamil and Bengali films.
