Ileana D’Cruz has spoken out against online trolls who body-shamed
Rihanna for not “bouncing back” after childbirth. The actor criticized what she called “unrealistic expectations” placed on new mothers in the entertainment industry. Rihanna, who welcomed her daughter Rocki in September 2025, recently faced harsh comments on X (formerly Twitter) after being photographed in Los Angeles with her son Riot.
Ileana D’Cruz defends Rihanna against body shaming
As reported by the Hindustan Times,
Ileana D'Cruz shared a post on Instagram from Evie Magazine that highlighted criticism of Rihanna. The headline read, “Rihanna refused to hide her post-pregnancy body, and it makes people furious.” Ileana responded, “This makes me so mad.”
D’Cruz continued, “She's a powerful woman! She made a whole baby and birthed that baby and is feeding and keeping that baby alive and healthy, yet the question is ‘hmm why hasn't she bounced back yet?’ Bloody infuriating unrealistic expectations.”
Photos of Rihanna with her son Riot circulated widely on X (previously Twitter). Some users mocked her appearance and compared images from her 20s to now. One post read, “This is why rich men are dating younger women. Look at what happened to Rihanna.” Others made remarks about a “receding hairline.”
Rihanna Speaks about post-pregnancy body
Earlier this year, during an interaction with Dior at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in January, Rihanna addressed her post-pregnancy body. She said, “I wanted the coats, I wanted the dresses, I wanted the skirts with a little bump right here (at the stomach) ‘cause I got a little pouch after having kids, so I’d love that.”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, both 37, share three children. Their eldest son is RZA, followed by Riot, and their youngest daughter, Rocki Irish.
On the work front, Ileana was last seen in ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ in 2024 alongside Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi and Sendhil Ramamurthy. The film received positive reviews but underperformed at the box office. Off-screen, Ileana is a mother of two sons, Koa Phoenix Dolan and Keanu Rafe Dolan.
