‘Ikkis’ screening: Subhash Ghai turns emotional; says 'My heart goes for DHARAM pa ji'
Sriram Raghavan directorial upcoming biographical war drama ‘Ikkis’ is set to release on January 1st. Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai became a little emotional after watching the huge love that legendary star Dharmendra’s last film ‘Ikkis’ received at a special screening. The movie was shown in Mumbai.
The ‘Pardes’ director also congratulated the Deol family and thanked the whole movie team for making such a beautiful film. He felt proud of Dharmendra ji and wished blessings to everyone who worked on the movie.
The film stars Agastya Nanda debuting as Arun Khetarpal, with Dharmendra in his final screen role, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and introducing Simar Bhatia.

What did Subhash Ghai wrote?
Subhash Ghai took to his Instagram post to share the response to the film by the audience. He shared that he was very happy that people liked the movie so much. He said that the emotional drama and the performances touched his heart. He wrote on his Instagram, “My heart goes for DHARAM pa ji last film IKKIS which got a warming applause YESTERDAY AT ITS PREMIER in Mumbai. I m so glad that everyone praised the movie s emotional drama n performances. I must watch this. Sure...My hearty congratulations to dear deol family n team of maddock films with special compliments for jaideep alahwat n Agastya nanda fot their brilliant performances. About ‘Ikkis’
Veteran actor Dharmendra passed away on the same day his poster from the film came out. ‘Ikkis’ is based on the life of brave soldier Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra award winner from the 1971 war. Dharmendra plays Arun’s father. The makers also shared a poem written by Dharmendra, “Aj bhi ji karda hai, pind apne nu jaanwa,” which shows his love for his village.The film stars Agastya Nanda debuting as Arun Khetarpal, with Dharmendra in his final screen role, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and introducing Simar Bhatia.
