Here's why Badshah was selfish with his 'Veere Di Wedding' song
Singer Badshah
Popularly known for his track 'Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai', singer Badshah is now gung-ho over his upcoming film 'Veere Di Wedding'. He says it took a while to come up with something new for the Sonam Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer. He told a site that it took six months for this track to be created. He says he not only rapped, but has also sung in it and that it was a selfish decision.

That's because when he heard it, he told Rhea (Kapoor, co-producer), that he wanted to sing it and that he didn't want to give it to anyone else. She replied she didn't know if he could sing but he promised her that he would practice. He further credits Farah Khan for the choreography and says it is typical, yet atypical. And that one woud see the women doing things that men do, and vice versa.
With so much talk about he need to be careful regarding obscenity in lyrics, the singer also had a view. He recalled a track from the film 'Mohra' (1994) with the lyrics, 'Subah se le kar shyam tak, shyam se le kar raat tak, kuch shaadi ke pehle, kuch shaadi ke bad... and remarked that he was still trying to understand what kind of love that was.
However, he did add that the track he has done for 'Veere Di Wedding' is his best work till date.
On another note, he has his album, ONE, set to release this year and another collaboration with Aastha Gill.
