Has Irrfan opted out of Ludhianvi biopic?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali who's been in news for his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani and all the accolades it has won this year, is all set to produce a biopic on lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi. While, Bhansali was on a lookout for its cast for quite some time now, news was abuzz that Irrfan Khan will be playing the protagonist, while Kareena Kapoor Khan was more than keen on playing the role of poet Amrita Pritam, in the said film.

However, rumour mills have it that the actor has encountered date issues, and that they would clash with the dates allotted for the biopic.Citing this, it is speculated that Irrfan has opted out of the film, leaving Bhansali to look for another Ludhianvi. As mentioned by the filmmaker earlier, he doesn't give up till he gets his desired cast, and that can be seen from all his past endeavours. Let's hope this venture too bags the best cast that the film deserves.
