Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja talks about losing their premature daughter at three months: ‘That’s why I brought up Yash in a cocoon’
Actor Govinda‘s wife Sunita Ahuja has shared details about their life together. Sunita also talked about being a loving mother to their kids, Tina and Yash. She even revealed how she lost another daughter when she was three months old. Sunita discussed her equation with kids and reflected on how she never left them alone themselves.
During a conversation in a podcast called Timeout with Ankit, Sunita disclosed that there was a good reason why she had always pampered her son Yashvardhan. “Yash is a little pampered because he is eight years younger than Tina. Before Yash, I had another daughter too, but she was premature and didn’t live. She was three months old when she expired; her lungs hadn’t developed. That is why I brought up Yash in a cocoon because I was scared. Now I have to fulfill all his wishes, but it’s fine,” she stated.
Sunita went on to say that she is the family's mischievous member and added, “I am strict with both of them, but they are now grown-ups.” She even recalled the time when she would go to school to drop her children and even pick them up. “I used to never leave my kids with the servants.”
In addition, Sunita said that she had known Govinda for forty years and revealed meeting the actor when he was doing his final year of BCom. She shared, “That time we didn’t have an affair. I found him okayish. He was from Virar and I was from Pali Hill. Who would have thought that we would fall in love and get married.”
For the unversed, Anand Singh was the director who launched Govinda in the film industry in 1986. Thus, Sunita Munjal, who became Sunita Ahuja after marriage, met the actor at her sister's wedding. She disclosed that she was 15 and in class 9 when she first met 21-year-old Govinda, who was in the final year of his B.com degree. The duo dated for three years before they got married in 1987 when she was 18.
