Govind Namdeo to make his Hollywood debut with 'Solar Eclipse'

Actor Govind Namdeo, popular for is roles in films like 'Bandit Queen', 'Prem Granth', 'Viraasat' and 'Satya', will feature in

Hollywood

film 'Solar Eclipse' which will release next year. The actor will also be seen as Lokmanya Tilak in 'Chapekar Brothers', set for release on September 2.

Om Puri, Govind Namdeo star in film on visually-impaired IRS officer

The actor shared details of his first Hollywood project and said that it highlights events from post-Independence era, violence during Partition and the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. In the film, Namdeo plays the character of Morarji Desai who was the Home Minister of Bombay state when the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi took place. His character in the film will present how Desai dealt with the situation after the assassination of Gandhi and actions he took. Namdeo did an extensive research for the role to make sure that nothing in the film hurts anybody's sentiments. The actor added that everything presented in the film is based on documented facts.

chairman Pahlaj Nihalani, said that the film is yet to go through certification process. He said that there is nothing in the film that Censor Board would have an objection to.
