Genelia Deshmukh to star in husband Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi directorial debut

ETimes was the first to report that Riteish Deshmukh will be making his directorial debut in Marathi with a yet-to-be-titled film. In fact, he will be shouldering all the three major responsibilities--directing, acting, and producing the film. Now, a little birdie from the industry tells us that Riteish's actress-wife Genelia D'souza, too, will be a part of the film.
"Not only Riteish but Genelia is also acting in the film.She will be playing a special role. Apart from Genelia, noted names of the Marathi film industry like Ashok Saraf, Shubhankar Tawde have been approached to play pivotal characters in the film," reveals a source exclusively to ETimes.
Ashok Saraf and Shubhankar Tawde both remained unavailable for comment.

The film's team has planned to complete the filming schedule by end of the February.
