From Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt to Kiara Advani-Siddharth Malhotra: Bollywood stars who fell for their co-star and their journey

Bollywood sets have long been standing ground for romance, where intense chemistry often spills into real life. Fans adore tales of stars like Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, and Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra-who confessed their feelings publicly through interviews and speeches.

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra’s romance bloomed during the 2021 biopic ‘Shershaah’, portraying real-life heroes whose bond-mirrored theirs. Kiara first hinted at it on Koffee With Karan Season 7 (2022), describing their initial meeting: “I’ll never forget that evening.”

She elaborated in an ABP News interview, “Every time I was with him, I just felt like I was home… When I felt the same thing with someone else, I just knew this was it.” Sidharth echoed the sentiment on ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 8, calling Kiara “Love, Ki, and Bae,” and naming spots like “car, garden, or balcony” for intimate -moments. He proposed in Rome with a ‘Shershaah’ line-leading to their 2023 wedding.

Alia Bhatt idolized Ranbir Kapoor since her teens, even requesting a photo with him at 15. Their professional collaboration on ‘Brahmastra’ (2022) deepened her admiration into-love. Back when she was very young , she first admired Ranbir Kapoor as her ultimate idol after watching him in films like 'Saawariya'. On Koffee with Karan season 7, Alia Bhatt shared an intimate detail, “ When I was single after a very long time, everyone around me, my sis and friends said you and he (Ranbir Kapoor) are going to be together. We talked about it on our flight.”


Years later, her wishes came true when Ranbir Kapoor proposed her “He went down on his knees, and I was like, ‘Is this happening?’ It was so emotional; I cried happy tears,” Alia Bhatt shared on Koffee with Karan. Her childhood dream finally came true!


Reflecting later on NDTV, Alia added, “It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship… I’m walking on stars and clouds right now.” The couple tied the knot in April 2022 at their Mumbai home, welcoming daughter Raha soon after.

Sparks flew between Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone before ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ (2013), but the set sealed their fate. Deepika, fresh from heartbreak, approached cautiously. Ranveer Singh’s first confession was out just after their audition for ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ the next day, on Koffee with Karan, Ranveer Singh recalled, “The next day after we met, we started dating. There was no gap.” To which,

Ranveer persisted, knowing she was “the one” within months. Their “Ang Laga De” sequence was electric; even after “cut,” they lingered, whispering endearments. On Koffee With Karan Season 8 (2023), Deepika added that while dating others early on, “in my mind I was committed to him,” and she always returned to Ranveer. They married in Italy in 2018 and welcomed their daughter Dua in 2024.
