From 'Krrish 3' to 'Manikarnika'; check out Kangana Ranaut's highest-earning films at the box office

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is the talk of the town after her shocking interview wherein she made some shocking revelations about the movie mafias and nepotism in the industry. While her statements rattled the entire fraternity, it has started several wars of words on social media which include many other Bollywood personalities.

While the talented diva, who was honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri Award in 2020 has also bagged three National Awards for her stellar performances on the silver screen. Kangana, who has been mired in several controversies is one of the most skilled actresses in B-town, who has never shied away from taking up challenging roles. While reports of the fourth instalment of the popular superhero 'Krrish' franchise has been making rounds on the internet, fans are eager to see their favourite Indian superhero, Hrithik Roshan, on the big screen once again. While nothing has been confirmed yet, the enormous success of 'Krrish 3' which earned a stupendous amount of Rs 175.83 crore at the box office, shows how the audience loved the film which also starred Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi apart from Hrithik. But what left the audience excited was Kangana's character of Kaya as the diva stepped into the shoes of an antagonist.

Two of industries most talented actors, Kangana and R Madhavan, teamed up in 2011 for 'Tanu Weds Manu' and set the stage ablaze with their impeccable onscreen performances. Well, the huge success of the film paved the way for a sequel 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' which went on to rake in Rs 148.84 crore in the domestic circuit. Kangana not only reprised her character and won over the audience with her brilliance performance but also played a double role in the film.

Kangana's period drama 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' which released last year was one of her most ambitious films but was also dragged into several controversies. The film which was also directed by Kangana after Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish walked out of the project, went on to mint Rs 90.81 crore and leave a lasting impression on the box office. The multi-lingual film also saw the diva in a never seen before avatar as she stepped into the shoes of Rani Lakshmi Bai (Manikarnika).

Kangana Ranaut went on to bag the prestigious National Award for the Best Actress for 'Queen'. The diva not only managed to win over the audience with her stellar performance but pulled off the entire film on her shoulders. The comedy-drama which earned Rs 61.47 crore at the box office also won several accolades and helped Kangana prove her acting skills on the silver screen.

Despite Milan Luthria's gangster saga 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' mainly revolved around Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi's characters, Kangana managed to win over the audience with her acting skills as she essayed the role of Rehana Shergill, a Bollywood actress in the film. The film which even featured Prachi Desai and Randeep Hooda in pivotal roles managed to mint Rs 58.26 crore at the box office and helped Kangana establish herself as one of the most crafted actresses in the industry.
