​From 'Brahmastra' to 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani': Alia Bhatt's stellar lineup of films


Alia Bhatt has come a long way in Bollywood and made a place for herself in the industry. The actress marked her debut with 'Student Of The Year' in 2010 and went to star in films like 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania', 'Kapoor & Sons' and more. She won everyone's hearts with her performances in the films like 'Highway', 'Udta Punjab', 'Raazi' and 'Gully Boy'.

Fans now can’t wait to watch her explore other genres and here's taking a look at Alia's solid upcoming lineup of films.

​'Brahmastra'

Alia Bhatt will be sharing screen space with her beau Ranbir Kapoor in 'Brahmastra' helmed by Ayan Mukerji. Infact, the duo fell in love with each other while shooting for the film. The film also stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The film was slated to release in December 2020, however, it was delayed due to the COVID pandemic as the VFX wasn't completed.

'RRR'

'RRR' is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language period action drama film directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film features N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris. The film marks the debut of Alia in Telugu cinema. The film was slated to release in October 2021, however, as the cinema halls are not yet opened in all the states of the country, the release has been delayed.

​'Gangubai Kathiawadi'


Alia Bhatt has collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. The film also stars Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. Also, Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi will be making cameo appearances in the film. The film's story revolves around Gangubai – a madame in the red light area of Kamathipura. The shooting of the film was wrapped up on 26 June 2021. The makers are aiming for the theatrical release of the film.

​'Darlings'


Alia Bhatt commenced the shooting for her movie 'Darlings' in July 2021. The movie will also mark Alia's first film as a producer under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is co-producing the film. The film story is about a mother-daughter duo navigating through crazy circumstances as they try to find their place in the world. The film also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Verma and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles. In September 2021, the actress wrapped up the shooting of the film.

​'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'


Alia Bhatt will be sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh in 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' after 'Gully Boy'. The film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi play supporting roles. It is scheduled to release in 2022. This marks the return of filmmaker Karan Johar to direction after 5 years; his last directorial was 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.
