Filmmaker Vasan Bala tests COVID-19 positive

Amid the third wave of coronavirus, several celebs from the film industry have been contracting the virus and also urging people to stay safe and follow the guidelines. Having said that, filmmaker Vasan Bala also tested positive for the virus.
Vasan took to his Instagram stories to confirm the same. He wrote, “I have tested positive, have isolated myself, it is what it is sore/throat/fever/fatigue/cough".The filmmaker’s last directorial venture was ‘Ray’ – an anthology series based on the short stories written by legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar also tested positive for the virus. This week, several Bollywood celebrities had tested positive for the deadly coronavirus. Mahesh Babu, Mithila Palkar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Arjun Kapoor, Esha Gupta, Mrunal Thakur had confirmed that they are going into quarantine due to Covid-19 diagnosis.
