KOLKATA: Sandip Ray''s adaptation of his father''s Feluda story, Bombaiyer Bombete, is already creating waves. Shooting for the film, starring Sabyasachi Chakraborty as Feluda, Bibhu Bhattacharya as Jatayu and Parambrata Chatterjee as Topshe, is on in full swing.
Other in the cast include Anjan Srivastava, Ashish Vidyarthi, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Rajatabha Datta, Rajesh Sharma, Jay Badlani and Rana Mitra.
Recently, a fight sequence between a hired murderer and a hoodlum played by Rajatabha
Datta was shot. The action took place inside a lift, recreated wonderfully by art director Ashoke Bose.
Ray chose very interesting camera angles for the shooting and there was plenty of suspense and thrills.
Sabyasachi fits the role of Feluda and is ably supported by Bibhu and Parambrata, who is a regular on TV serials.
The story centres around a famous necklace which is smuggled to Mumbai unknowingly by Jatayu, hidden inside Sri Aurobindo''s Life Divine, which leads to a murder. Feluda comes to Mumbai to track the murderer, who has left a trail of gulbahar scent.
The way Sandip Ray handles his camera and actors is quite different from his illustrious
father.
He has his own way of doing things and one has great expectations from the latest Feluda thriller.
