Farhan Akhtar is set to return to the big screen with the upcoming war-drama ‘120 Bahadur’, where he plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, a Param Vir Chakra recipient. The actor shared several photos on Instagram featuring the real-life heroes alongside members of his team. The first image showed both veterans with the cast and crew of ‘120 Bahadur’. Another photo captured Captain Ram Chander Yadav together with actor Sparsh Walia, who plays his role in the movie. The third picture featured Atul Singh sitting with Havildar Nihal Singh. In his caption, Farhan expressed, "Was an honour spending an afternoon in the inspiring company of the two surviving heroes of the Battle of Rezang La, Subedar Honorary Captain Ram Chander Yadav ji & Havildar Nihal Singh ji, SM."

The movie was filmed across various locations such as Rajasthan, Ladakh, and Mumbai.
Controversy over portrayalThe film recently faced strong criticism from the Yaduvanshi (Ahir) community mahapanchayat because it showed the bravery of only one soldier. They said the film did not recognize the sacrifices of other brave soldiers. The community asked the makers to change the film’s title from ‘120 Bahadur’ to ‘Veer Ahir’. The movie will be released on November 21, 2025.
