Nitesh Tiwari and
Ranbir Kapoor recently launched the teaser of their much-anticipated film Ramayana at an event in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The evening had its fair share of light-hearted moments, with one fan playfully teasing Ranbir by confusing him with
Ranveer Singh.
Dhurandhar 2 Movie ReviewAn X (formerly Twitter) user, Vishal Mishra, shared a selfie with Ranbir from the event and recounted the amusing interaction. He wrote, “I told him I loved his work in Dhurandhar and he started saying “No that is a different Ranveer..” before @niteshtiwari22 cut him off and told him I was pulling his leg with reference to an ad!” He also shared a link to the commercial, adding, “the ad, one in a series of brilliant ads Nitesh made for @harshjain85”
When another user asked him, “lol what was his response then,” Vishal revealed that Ranbir took the joke in good spirits, replying, “He paused, said 'oh' and started laughing.”
For context, the referred advertisement referenced by the fan, which was released last year, features Aamir Khan repeatedly calling Ranbir “Ranbir Singh” after a bruised ego leads to a humorous face-off. Ranbir, in turn, quips that Aamir wouldn’t appreciate being addressed as Salman Khan. The ad also includes appearances by several Indian cricketers, along with Arbaaz Khan and Jackie Shroff.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana will be released in two parts, arriving in theatres during Diwali 2026 and 2027. The epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanaka. The film’s music will be composed by Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
