Exclusive! Rohit Bal's close friend designer Rohit Gandhi reveals he is taken off ventilator; says, 'Lalit Tehlan is not allowed near him'

Fashion designer Rohit Bal, who was on ventilator support after being hospitalised in Delhi on November 23, has now been put off the ventilator. Bal’s close friend and renowned fashion designer Rohit Gandhi while talking to BT shared that Bal is still in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but recuperating. Gandhi said, “He was critical for 24 hours, so the doctors were closely observing him. He was taken off the ventilator on Monday night and is conscious now. However, he is not out of danger, so he is still in the ICU. Nevertheless, this is such good news that he can talk now. The doctors are saying he is on the way to recovery and should be discharged within 7-10 days.”Gandhi reveals that he has been flooded with calls from the fashion fraternity. “He is very important to the Indian fashion industry. We need him,” he said. Gandhi and Bal have been friends for many decades. Earlier this year, Gandhi, along with others, alleged that Bal’s close friend, model Lalit Tehlan, was responsible for Bal’s deteriorating health. Reportedly, Bal has been going in and out of rehab due to alcohol abuse. Gandhi further added, “He (Tehlan) is not allowed to be with him (Bal). He is not in the hospital. Gudda’s (Bal’s nickname) friends and family have seen to it that Lalit is nowhere around. Lalit was with Rohit in the ambulance when he was first hospitalised, but since then, no one has heard from him,” Gandhi concludes.We tried reaching out to Tehlan, but there was no response.
