Divya Khossla calls out Kylie Jenner and Bollywood celebs for going under the knife: 'All faces look pretty much the same'
Divya Khossla Kumar recently spoke out against the growing obsession with cosmetic procedures in the entertainment industry. The actress stated that trying to achieve perfect looks isn’t the way to live and says natural beauty should always come first.
In conversation with News18 Showsha, Divya spoke about ceebrities using enhancement procedures and going under the knife. She said, “These days, all faces look pretty much the same. People who go to doctors in Mumbai look a certain way and those who go to doctors in Dubai look a certain way. Basis one’s face, you can figure which doctor they went to. You know they visited which doctor in which clinic in which part of the city."
The actress further shared that she always prefers to be natural. “I never felt the need to succumb to beauty stereotypes. I feel nothing beats natural beauty and the way you’ve been brought up. I don’t believe in external fillers and botox. The moment you hit puberty, that’s the first thing a lot of girls start doing. My mother never even allowed me to touch bleach or use it on my face," she added.
In the same interview, Divya called out the likes of Kylie Jenner, who admitted to having lip fillers since 2015 for being insecure about her thin lips. Divya stated, “That helped my skin remain virgin and protected. The more you stay away from these things, the better it is. We’ve seen Kylie Jenner. She’s so young but she has started looking too matured for her age. We should all allow ourselves to age naturally and we may end up looking better than what we did a few years back. The idea is to let ourselves be the way we are."
She believes that trying to be perfect and erasing flaws isn’t the way to live. That’s why she doesn’t remove blemishes or edit her pictures using AI. She said, “Thoda imperfection toh hona chahiye. I don’t even like it if they correct my pictures using AI. I just hate it. I tell my team ki yeh kya kar diya hai! Some pictures look so fake, they don’t even look like the real me."
She added, "I like my round face. People tell me that it doesn’t meet the beauty standards of the industry, but I’m fine with it. I’m not someone who’ll keep checking herself in the mirror. I’m not obsessed with make-up or the mirror. We should rather focus on our inner beauty."
