Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently enjoying the success of his latest film, 'Animal'. In an interview with Galatta Plus, the filmmaker revealed the film’s dramatic action scenes, citing 'Kill Bill' by famed director Quentin Tarantino as an inspiration.

The filmmaker narrated that when he went to film school, he was exposed to flawed men watching the movies of David Fincher, Martin Scorsese, and Stanley Kubrick. He felt like this was a zone in which he could tell stories.

Speaking about making the antagonist a Muslim, the director said that he has seen many people convert to Christianity and Islam but has never seen anybody convert to Hinduism when they face a bad phase in their lives.

Vanga revealed that in a scene where Ranbir couldn't stand anyone speaking ill of his father and it led to a fight, it was not deliberately orchestrated. The focus was on defending his father and proving that he was a great father. He thought that it added a nice dramatic quotient.

'Animal' also starred Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. It has crossed Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office and Rs 800 crore worldwide.
